This morning, I saw a post shared by my financial advisor, and it struck me so deeply that I hit record and poured my heart into this week’s episode. It’s a story you’ve probably never heard before, but it holds the key to unlocking so much of our stuckness.
It’s called “Three Men Make a Tiger.”
The short version? If one person says there’s a tiger in the marketplace, we don’t believe them. If two people say it, we get curious. But if three insist—suddenly, we believe the tiger is real.
That’s how false beliefs take root. Not because they’re true, but because they’re repeated.
Psychologists call this the Illusory Truth Effect. And it’s everywhere.
“You need to go to college to be successful.”
“You have to retire at 65.”
“You’re not a leader if you’re emotional.”
“You’re just bad with money.”
“You can’t change who you are.”
Sound familiar?
In this episode, I talk about:
The two biggest areas where false tigers live—the paths we follow and the stories we tell ourselves
Why so many high-achieving people still feel unfulfilled
How to spot limiting beliefs you’ve internalized without even realizing it
Three steps to stop running from imaginary tigers
This is the kind of episode that makes you stop and think… What have I accepted as truth just because it’s been said enough?
Maybe you’re chasing a version of success that was never yours to begin with.
Maybe you’ve been telling yourself a story that was written for you, not by you.
It’s time to pause, question, and reclaim your truth.
